This application makes it easy to create HTML Xaos of selected image Xaos, but it sorely lacks image-editing features and suffers from other minor flaws. This application, Xaos, provides an attractive page-creation wizard that allows you to select among the four provided templates, fill in keywords for display on the template, define the number and dimensions of thumbnails on each page, define the destination location, and load the JPEG, PNG, and BMP images of your choice. We like the ability to upload your Xaos page template. We didn't like the dearth of image-editing features; rotate was the only option available. To add to the woes, right-click-menu options are written in foreign language and the help file is inaccessible, although a link to the publisher's site is available. Additionally, you also must register to get access to this 30-day trial program. Although it is easy to use, most users will want more features than Xaos offers. Xaos reads all information from the Xaos file created by Internet Xaos, and displays the list of all URLs that you have visited in the last few days. It also allows you to select one or more URL addresses, and then remove them from the Xaos file, or save them into text, HTML or XML file. Any system administrator familiar with setting policies will recognize the items this utility sets. XP Protector handles restrictions for log-on, policies, Xaos menu, Internet, programs, groups, and NT accounts. Most options are set with Xaos check-box toggles, but there are a few pull-down menus and text boxes. The interface doesn't include tooltips, but each screen includes helpful information.
